SITEVISION INTEGRATION FAQ’s

Trimble Connect provides cloud-based storage for project data, which can be accessed and visualised in real time on Trimble SiteVision. This integration allows users to view 3D models and design data in augmented reality on-site.

You can access a variety of project data, including 3D models, design files, and other project information stored in Trimble Connect, which can then be visualised through Trimble SiteVision.

Yes, any updates made to design models in Trimble Connect are automatically synced to Trimble SiteVision, ensuring the field teams always have access to the latest project information.

With Trimble SiteVision, users can visualise 3D models and designs overlaid on the physical environment using augmented reality, helping improve understanding and reducing errors on-site.

Yes, Trimble Connect makes it easy to share and synchronise project data, allowing office teams to update information and field teams to access the most current designs instantly.

Trimble SiteVision requires an internet connection to access real-time data from Trimble Connect. However, you can continue to use SiteVision offline with previously downloaded data, which can be updated once an internet connection is available.

There are two different SiteVision subscriptions to choose from: SiteVision Core and SiteVision Pro.

  • SiteVision Core is designed for people who mainly work indoors.  The subscription includes:
    • A SiteVision software license for AR visualisation of 3D models as well as measuring using AR or iOS LiDAR.
    • A subscription to Trimble Connect Business Premium for data management and collaboration.
  • SiteVision Pro is designed for people who often work outdoors, paired with a high precision GNSS receiver.
    • Enjoy everything that’s included in SiteVision Core license, plus the added advantage of GNSS compatibility.

Includes a subscription to Trimble Catalyst™ for SiteVision®, a GNSS positioning service that enables centimeter accuracy for the Trimble DA2 GNSS receiver or HPS2 handle. The Trimble DA2 and HPS2 hardware is sold separately.

SiteVision Core is compatible with AR-enabled devices such as smartphones, tablets, and dedicated AR headsets like Microsoft HoloLens.

Yes, after positioning the model you can take screenshots recordings and even create BCF topics for collaboration and RFI’s (snap a picture with AR model enabled and send an issue directly tagging a designated team member).
